An update on recent work on the Roman ritual complex at Teffont, Wiltshire, and reflections on its regional context
This wide ranging talk will draw together recent research in south-west Wiltshire, including the ritual complex at Teffont, to consider the nature of religion and everyday life in south-west Wiltshire in the late Roman period. We will look at how religion and belief intersect with everyday practice, prestige and wealth, and reflect on the wider connections of the region in terms of paganism, continuity and discontinuity.
